Welcome to Saalem English Church, an English-speaking congregation within the larger Saalem church family.
We are a community dedicated to discovering what it means to follow Jesus Christ, grow together on this faith journey and open wide our heart to reach others around us. You are warmly welcome to join us!

Join Us This Week
We have several ways to stay connected as a community here at Saalem English Church. From our regular Sunday gatherings to online meeting spaces, you are welcome to join us. You'll always find a welcoming atmosphere and opportunities to explore the Christian faith or grow in your relationship with God and others.
Sunday Services
Saalem English Church is a community within the larger Saalem church family. We worship together with the Finnish service on Sundays at 11:00AM (5PM during the months of June, July and August) and provide English translation via an app on your smartphone. More info about translation can be found here.
Whether you are a student or international visitor, we welcome you to worship with us!
Small Groups
We have regular opportunities to get connected with others in a small group setting. We believe that life change happens in community. It may be a little intimidating at first, but being part of a small group helps us grow in ways we could never experience by ourselves.

From university students to married couples, here are a few personal stories from our Saalem English community and how God is making a difference in their lives.
Kelvin, Spain
I spent 5 years in Finland. I am an ex-football player, having passed through 17 different countries with many tears, brokenness, bitterness and frustration in my career and family.
I remember my first day at Saalem. I felt the presence of the Lord, as if he hugged me and said “Welcome Home!”. I felt loved. I am thankful to God for granting me the opportunity to be a part of the Saalem family. Beautiful people with a sincere love for God and for people.

I spent a year in Helsinki as an exchange student and Saalem Church has become a family for me. I got involved with the international students work as well as women's team and also had an amazing opportunity to serve on a mission trip in Africa. I loved our planning and praying meetings and the fun we shared together. Without Saalem, I wouldn't have met such a wonderful people that have impacted me and are going to be a great part of my life forever.
